The draw was issued on Friday (24 January) at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. The pre-quarterfinals will also have two legs. Both the teams will play against each other at their respective home grounds.

स्विट्जरलैंड के न्योन स्थित यूईएफए के मुख्यालय में शुक्रवार (24 जनवरी) को ड्रॉ जारी किया गया। प्री-क्वार्टर फाइनल में भी दो लेग होंगे। दोनों टीमें अपने-अपने होमग्राउंड पर एक-दूसरे के खिलाफ एक-एक मैच खेलेंगी। दो मैचों के स्कोर को जोड़कर नतीजा निकलेगा। पहले लेग के मुकाबले नौ मार्च को खेले जाएंगे। उसके बाद दूसरा लेग 16 मार्च को आयोजित किया जाएगा।

ड्रॉ में 16 टीमों को शामिल किया गया। आठ यूरोपा लीग ग्रुप राउंड के विजेताओं को सीडेड (वरीयता प्राप्त) पॉट में रखा गया। वहीं, नॉकआउट राउंड प्ले-ऑफ से आगे बढ़ने वाली आठ टीमें अनसीडेड पॉट में थीं। एक ही एसोसिएशन के क्लब एक दूसरे के खिलाफ नहीं खेल सकते। प्री-क्वार्टरफाइनल में जीतने वाली आठ टीमें क्वार्टरफाइनल में खेलेंगी।

नॉकआउट राउंड प्ले-ऑफ में सेविला ने पीएसवी को 3-2, युवेंटस ने नेन्ट्स को 4-1, स्पोर्टिंग ने मिडटिलैंड को 5-1 और लेवरकुसेन ने मोनाको को 5-5 की बराबरी के बाद पेनल्टी शूटआउट में 5-3 से हराया। वहीं, यूनियन बर्लिन ने अजाक्स को 3-1, रोमा ने आरबी साल्जबर्ग को 2-1, शाख्तार डोनेत्स्क ने रेनेस को 3-3 की बराबरी के बाद पेनल्टी शूटआउट में 5-4 और मैनचेस्टर यूनाइटेड ने बार्सिलोना को 4-3 से हराया। प्री-क्वार्टर फाइनल में पहुंचने वाली 16 टीमों में सेविला, युवेंटस, आर्सेनल, मैनचेस्टर यूनाइटेड और रोमा खिताब जीतने की दावेदार हैं।

The draw was issued on Friday (24 January) at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.  The pre-quarterfinals will also have two legs.  Both the teams will play one match each against each other at their respective home grounds.  The result will be obtained by adding the scores of the two matches.  The first leg matches will be played on March 9.  After that the second leg will be held on March 16.

 

 16 teams were included in the draw.  The winners of the eight Europa League group rounds were placed in the seeded pot.  At the same time, the eight teams that advanced from the knockout round play-offs were in the unseeded pot.  Clubs from the same association cannot play against each other.  The eight winning teams in the pre-quarterfinals will play in the quarterfinals.

 In the knockout round play-offs, Sevilla beat PSV 3–2, Juventus beat Nantes 4–1, Sporting beat Midtjylland 5–1 and Leverkusen beat Monaco 5–3 on penalties after a 5–5 draw.  Union Berlin beat Ajax 3-1, Roma beat RB Salzburg 2-1, Shakhtar Donetsk beat Rennes 5-4 on penalties after a 3-3 draw and Manchester United beat Barcelona 4-3.  Sevilla, Juventus, Arsenal, Manchester United and Roma are among the 16 teams that will qualify for the pre-quarterfinals.
